Regional Summits

Regional Summits

The Center for Intensive Behavioral Supports (CIBS) is hosting regional summits across the state to support district administrators in developing appropriate documentation for required restraint and time-out (RTO) reduction plans and completing Form 11-01 when RTO incidents occur. Planned activities include a review of legal terminology, ISBE documents, sample district plans, and an overview of one Special Education Cooperative’s response to a state complaint relevant to RTO. Related resources and training targeting the reduction of RTO will be highlighted.

Participants are invited to attend individually or as a group. Group attendance is encouraged; however, not required. Individuals and teams will develop or edit district documentation related to RTO. Attendees should bring a computer and have access to existing district policies and documents as references.

We look forward to the valuable expertise and networking each of you brings to the conversation. Please use the link below to sign up for the date and location that meets your needs.
